is a freelance graphic and type designer (creation of custom typefaces).
After training in graphic design at the École supérieure d’art et de design des Pyrénées, then at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Lyon, he continued his studies by integrating the postgraduate diploma in typography from the Atelier National de Recherche Typographique.
Based in the Pyrenees in Aspet, not far from Toulouse, since 2021, he works in art, culture and architecture, and collaborates with other graphic design studios. During his studies he awakened a pronounced interest in architecture and landscapes which was cemented through several photographic series. Since 2019, he has been developing a personal practice of typefaces creation.
His graphic design practice is anchored in a marked typographical approach, playing on the connotation of letters and the image of text to design subtle and precise mediums of communication. This approach is characterized by a certain visual simplicity, using the communication medium as a neutral container, in order to promote reading comfort, the readability of the text, and the visibility of the iconographic content.
Corentin Noyer currently teaches type design at ECV Bordeaux.
